RESIDENCE PERMIT
If you live in Serbia and wish to learn Serbian but you do not have a residence permit, you can enroll in the Preparatory program for academic study in Novi Sad or Belgrade. Program enrollment will fulfill a condition necessary to make receiving residency on the basis of language study possible. This condition requires that you prove that you will use your knowledge of Serbian with the aim of pursuing further university education in Serbia.
The first tuition payment covers the registration fee and 72 course hours over the course of up to 12 weeks
Azbukum will issue an official certificate of attendance to you as someone matriculated in this program. You must include this certificate along with all your other residency application documentation. The decision whether to issue a residence permit belongs to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Azbukum has no influence on decisions regarding a participant’s status.
If you do not receive your residence permit you must show proof of a negative decision issued by the responsible authorities. In such a case you will not pay the remaining sum for the PPSAS program. The already-paid tuition will not be returned, nor can this sum be credited to another person. You can certainly, however, finish the paid part of the program.
