The newest Azbukum textbook for children Az buki srpski 1 (A1.2) is a continuation of the textbook Az buki srpski 1 (A1.1). It is intended for children who already have knowledge at the beginner level (A1.1). This material consists of a richly illustrated textbook and interactive exercises available on AOS, along with additional downloadable materials in PDF format.
It is suitable for children of both Serbian and non-Serbian origin.

16 lessons inspired by various locations in Serbia
The textbook includes sixteen illustrated lessons, grouped into four thematic units inspired by Serbia. Each unit contains four lessons featuring comics, stories, engaging tasks, and songs. The lessons depict everyday situations related to children's lives: means of transport, winter fun, sports, daily activities, animals, fruits and vegetables, the house, and more.
The primary script is Cyrillic, but each lesson also includes practice in writing Latin letters so that by the end of the textbook, children will have mastered print Latin script.
5 original songs for children
A special charm of the textbook lies in the original musical pieces written and arranged specifically for children. There are five songs in total.
Board games with words and phrases from the lessons
At the end of the textbook, there are board games that use vocabulary and expressions from the lessons.

Extremely useful guidelines for teachers using this program are provided in the Teacher’s Manual. With the help of the authors’ tips and suggestions, instructors will be able to easily and effectively use the entire Az buki srpski 1 – Elementary (A1.2) program.
